It was 10 days ago that we announced a little secret was brewing at Obox Design. At the time we only had half an idea of what we wanted to do, but as we progressed further it became clear as to what we needed to create and what was missing in the theme Market.
These days it's not just good enough to have blog, or a twitter account, or a Tumblr account, or a Posterous account.
You need all of them, and that's where we step in.
Introducing Micro Blogging theme packages
With the success of the Obox Wordpress theme collection we have decided to spread our wings and give you the complete package. The end result is not just a Twitter background, or a Tumblr theme / Posterous theme but all three, packaged into one to create Premium Micro Blogging themes.
Our Micro Blog themes are all related to their Wordpress big brothers in terms of design elements (color, font type etc). However as we spend more time on these, unique designs will be launched.
The packages cost $25 each and this is what you you get:
- A Tubmlr Theme
- Posterous Theme
- Wallpaper
- Twitter Background
- Layered PSD and Fireworks files
There is no doubt about the awesomeness that we have packed into this tiny little zip file. Along with that is an easy to follow, step by step, install guide.
This package is great for anyone who is starting out in the micro blogging world or who has a Premium Wordpress theme and wants to carry their branding through from Wordpress through to Twitter.
3 Themes, One is Free!
Today we are launching three themes and because we love you, and always want you to experience Obox, we have decided to make one of the packages free!
Smoke & Tumble is completely free, simply go to view the theme at our site and hit 'Download'.
For those of you who want something more, I suggest you have a look at Hash Two and Micro Press. Two incredible themes designed to suit their Wordpress counter parts or stand alone as uniqu designs in the Tumblr & Posterous space.

We have been planning this for a while, as you can see we mention a secret mission in this interview from a while back: http://www.bitrebels.com/design/interview-obox-design-makers-of-inspiration/ : "The other is too secret to mention now but hopefully we will have it out before the end of the year"
Other CMSs have always been on our radar so it was just a matter of time before we released Tumblr/Posterous themes.
I spoke to Adii before we launched this collection and we both agreed it was all good. We have a very good relationship with Woo and play open cards with them. They are tending to go down the direction of a Wordpress theme which works like Tumblr.
We are going down the Micro Blogging theme direction. At the moment no one, that we can find, is making premium themes for Micro blogs. So why not start now?
