As mentioned in a previous blog post about our new theme, we generally design all our themes around a name.
In fact, most of our successful projects were all born around a name. We are not Freelancers, From the Couch, the Signature Series, Micro Themes, Hash One. The list goes on.
All names first, then ideas. Not exactly an ideal way to run things but it has worked so far.
Anyway, for our new theme we are yet to come up with a super cool name which suits the themes design.
This is where you step in.
Competition time
So we have decided to run a little competition. It’s very simple really, come up with a name for our new theme and stand the chance to win a lifetime supply of Obox Themes. As long as Obox Themes exist you will get every new theme we release, for free.
The requirements are simple:
- Drop a comment below with your suggested name
- Leave your name with a valid email address and if you can, a twitter handle
- Person with the best name wins
This competition will close March 15, 2010. Good luck peeps!
For more detail on the theme itself, please visit this post: Preview time. No Name yet though.

Hey guys, how about "Droplet" or "Droplets"
rex [at] tacomaphoenix.com @phoenixdesign
can any participant suggest more than one suggestion ?
This theme is great because it breaks out of the confines of the typical blog... and becomes open and free. So, I propose you name it "Liberation"
If I win, Ill definitely use this one on my personal website!
Very important note.
Leave your email in the "email" form field. No need to post it in the comment field peeps ;)

Hmm
1. Struckture - spelling intended 2. Picassos brain or lovechild 3. Glance 4. Thought leader
Divergence. (To go in different directions, branch off, depart)
Two reasons. First, visually, your leaves/petals or what ever shape they are, diverge from each other. Second, the origin of the painting.
Great contest guys - how about these suggestions
untitled
unknow awesomeness

Problems Fixed!
@quinonez
My suggestion is
Cornered Circ
or
The Awesome
I get the feeling of urban art with this theme, also crude, elemental, So,
"Urbanite" - the urban element.
Dissidence
simply complex
How about "Flux" or "En Flux"
@RichKenyon
..or another suggestion, you can call it:
"FTW (For The Win)"
Another suggestion: "Intensio"
"Free-form"
adjective encouraged to function or evolve without advance planning; spontaneous
adverb without restrictions or preconceptions
Graffite. (for the pencil-ish art, also the graffiti-like style)

That theme clearly needs to be named "A Drop of Creativity" or "Drop of Creativity" for short.
And that is that. :)
1. Apex 2. Touch 3. Simplex 4. RightAngle / WriteAngle
Sketchology
(last one, I promise)
Looking sweet and, as my three-year-old just said in his first language of Japanese:
Kenbun!
It means Colorful pattern which seems spot on to me :-)
Mark... (@japanized)
"Stop. Repeat." "Drop. Repeat." "Conundrum" "The Question Mark" "Clueless" "Winner Takes All"
Analytic phase
A reference to Cubism - http://www.artmovements.co.uk/cubism.htm as the theme looks, to me, to have influence from cubist paintings.
space invader
yoga
jedi
DeathProof
dogma
morat
snatch
juju malema
GrindHouse
sith
Attack of the clones
JZs Shower
"Convolutation" @jbigmac The theme seems pretty busy hence the use of convoluted, but tation part at the ends brings tranquilty I think and helps to show that while it is complicated, it is simply brilliant.
*Really hope I win*
"Shazam" - because more things in the world need that name.
"Cacophonympho"
"Meme"
"Birdle"
"Teaser"
"Eastwood"
Tears of Venus Cubica (reference to cubism and the antagonism to the drops) Wordrop Dropress Dropular
@tuhinkumar or @inspiringpixel
I was going to suggest "Van Gogh" but I think a cool, simple Obox-style theme name would be "Graffiti."
-D
King Henry the 8th Third Rail
Zazz
What more is there to say? That theme is on the Zazztrain to Zazzville to load up on some Zazz.
Ok, so if you dont like "Zazz", heres a more thoughtful contribution.
The Yoruba people of West Africa have quite a serious and considered child naming ceremony, where the choice of name is the joint responsibility of the community into which the child is born. Yoruba names also have very clear meanings. Incidentally, water is an important ceremonial item in the naming ceremony, so the water droplet shapes fit nicely too.
I think its kind of cool that there is a parallel here. So here are some options that are Yoruba inspired...
Yoruba - the name of the people/ethnic group Adisa - "one who is clear" Ayo - "joy" Dayo - "joy arrives" Obi = heart/soul Omi = water Yemaja - Yoruba spirit of the ocean (again, the droplets)
If thats a bit esoteric, you could called it "Working Title", since when it was conceived it had no name, and it also echoes the fact that most blogs are never "done" and are constantly in a state of flux.
you should call it Dew Drop
:) x
My suggestions: -Graffiti because it looks like the side of a tagged railcar -Kandinsky after the Expressionism painter whos work it resembles -Expressionism after the art period
Twitter: @rachelfinder email rachelfinder@gmail.com

How about "Dahli"? Sort of reminds me of his artistic style...
This name (below) is perfect and the name suggest old is new , taking into account all the vintage designs out here and it evokes memories of past with a combination of the new ! i think its a great inspiration for a new theme , bring back something old with a fresh view !
"VINTAGE REDUX"
VINTAGE-denoting something of high quality, esp. something from the past or characteristic of the best period of a persons work REDUX-brought back; revived
Hmm.....After browsing the design and concept one word popped out to me - Mantra. I would buy a theme that was called "Mantra"
Hope it helps! Love your work.
